Take him for all in all, ho was the most cheerful and companionable creature iu all the wido seas. He came to tho pawing steamers seeking no personal gain. He asked for no food, and sought no protection. He was just a kindly, lonely cetacean, who sought (ho company of men and ships before that of his own kind.
