A SYDNEY PROPOSAL. By Telecraph—Press Association-OoDSTielit Sydney, April 8. ' The Labour Council is considering a scheme for establishing a trades unionists' | principles defence fund, for tho purpose j of assisting trades unionists imprisoned ) for things said or done at the instigation of unions in defence of the principles J of unionism. Only members contributing ' to unitfus will benefit by payments from' the fund, which will bo at the rate of j two pounds a week for tho wife and •, five shillings each for tho children of the imprisoned unionist.
