THE MINING STRIKE.
By Telecrapa-Press Association-Oopyricht : Ottawa, April 8. The Government is allowing tho 7000 miners on strike in-the West until Monday to settle- their differences with the colliery companies. If no settlement is reached, the Government will then appoint an Arbitration Board. RAILWAYMEN'S GRIEVANCES. (Rec. April 10, 1 a.m.) Ottawa, April 0. A conferenco between the Canadian Pacific railway officials and tho mechanics has broken up with the parties in complete disagreement. A strike may follow.
