RING COMPETITIONS. The following are the conditions of tho events which have been added to tho ring competitions at tho Mniiawatu A. and P. Association's dairy show: — Wood-chopping (maiden). ■ Logs IS inchrs. First prize, .C 3; second prize, .£2; live competitors or over; third prize. .£l.

Sawing Competition (maiden). First prize, £3; second prize, .£2; five competitors or over; third prize, XI. Push-ball Competition (for teams of four). Competitors mounted, without saddles, no spurs. Prizes for wiuniiii; team, trophies to value ,£5.

Obstacle Race. Horse and rider (bareback), no spurs, over such courso and obstaclcrs as stewards may decide. Prizes. and M. In place of the leaping competition for ponies there will be a bending competition with prizes' of £1 and ,Cl.

There will also bo three football matches.
