THE FIFTH GRADE. ANOTHER WIN FOE ATHLETIC. In Hie fifth-grade contests eight teams competed for pride of place. Some of the games were well contested but open play was too strenuous for some of tho teams, and caused then) to slow down. Following were the members of tho Athletic and Melroso teams which survived tho semi-finils: — Athletic: Robinson, Adams, Newport. Stevens, Hupli.MC.irr, Thompson. • JWrosc: Gray, Scott, Helliwell (2), Cook, Barber, and Simonds. The final game was, upon the whole, rather disappointing. Athletic forced the pace somewhat at the start, but play afterwards settled down to a steady jog. Each side scored a,n unconverted try during tho allotted fifteen minutes, arid extra time had to be plnycd in order that a determinate result might be arrived at. When the teams were thus put upon their mettle, Athletic quickly established their superiority, and obtained a second try. Tho game ended in their favour: G—3-
