A general meeting of tho Port Nicholson Yacht Club was held at tho Boat Harbour last evening to consider the To Rhuna-May protest, and also to consider the balance-sheet and other, matters. . _ ' • After discussion tho protest lodged by To Rhuna was put to the ballot, when it was decided to resail the event. The balancc-shcet for the year was circulated at tho meeting and passed. The following new members of committee wero elected to take tho place of retiring members: —Messrs. E. Kupli, G. Hoggard, and A. Lancaster. A suu-committee consisting of Messrs. G. Hoggard and O. Freyberg was appointed to report on tho revision of rules. A social committee to further the club's interests during the winter was elected as follows: —Messrs. E. Rough, O. Frevbcrg. J. Forbes, H. Chisholm, C. F Ward, S. M'Williams, and P v Elliot. The question of holding a race to Port Underwood at Easter was put before. tho mesting, and it was decided that the event would not be held, tho club not wishing to clash with tho event of a similar nature arranged by the Cruising Club.. Mr. Jackson's launch Taniwha left for Takapo Bay, Port Underwood, last night.
