An excellent programme has been arranged for the concert which takes place this evening in the Town Hall in honour of Mr. Ernest Parkes, and one has only to look at.the programme to sec that th'c best musical talent which Wellington possesses is assisting. Two beautiful choruses, under the direction of Mr. David Kenny, are to bo sung—the "Angelus" chorus from "Maritaua," and the "Students' Parting SongV" Mr. Parkes himself sings the prologue from "Pagliacci" and the Toreador song from. "Carmen." Another delightful item will be a trio by Miss Eachel Richmond, Miss Slay Donaldson, and Mr. Frank Johnstone. Those who have attended the Chamber Concerts given by these three musicians will know what is- in store for them. Altogether such a nrogrnmme as is being given would be u regrettable thing to rniss.
