April 7, 0.30 a.m.) „, _ Sydney, April G. ihe Government has submitted to the Iramway Construction Advisory Board a scheme for the establishment of Stato ferries connecting the North Shore with the city. The scheme provides for two services between thickly populated points. The Government already owns tho sites which it is proposed to use for tho wharves. It is stated- that the cost of deviating certain tram routes will not be great. The suggestion is that the ferries shall be free to travellers on the trams to the wharves. It is considered that, the present company's ten minutes' service is inadequate. When in opposition the Labour party frequently advocated a free service, and the company recently made a ten per cent, reduction in the prica of season tickets, ■ ,
