THE HON. D. BUDDO.

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) Wairoate, April 5. The Hon. D. Buddo arrived in Waimato yesterdav, anil proceeded to: Waihao Downs. "He was driven in a motor-car over the newly-acquired settlement of Allanholme and Waihao Downs. The route of the proposed railway extension of four and a half miles from Waihao Downs, the present terminus, was pointed out to him. A deputation urged the claims of the extension, and asked that the necessary land for the railway be reserved before submitting the sections for public competition. The Minister admitted the potentialities of the district, and said lie would make provision for reserving land for the railway as asked for. Several other requirements were laid before tho Minister. Mr. Buddo opens the new post office at Waimato to-morrow.
