THE MEAT-PRODUCERS' REPRESENTATIVE.
MR. F. J. SHELTON MENTIONED. It is understood that Mr. P. J. Sheltfti, who .is at, present,in business in Wellington,, and was formerly in Gisborne, will probably go to England as tho representative of the New Zealand Producers' Association. It is'reported on good authority that the Central Committee of tho association is'in favour of appointing Mr. Sbelton, and, also, that Mr. Shelton is willing to go.
I'EItDING'S ATTITUDE. .' Mr. W. D. L'ysnar'was in Feilding, and met members of the local sub-committee set up to consider matters in connection with the export of frozen meat (says ah exchange). The meeting was a private one. Mr. Lysnar reported that he had received the following, guarantee towards the expenses of carrying out his scheme; —Gisborne ,£4OO, Napiej JIGOO, and Dannevirke £300. Though there is nothing official made public, it is understood the Feuding Committee is not very greatlv enamoured of .Mr. Lysuar's particular proposal to send a man Homo under present conditions. It is suggested that a conference truly representative of the frozen meat export trade interests should be held 'first. ■ ....
