THE RACING COMMISSION.
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) Gisborne, April 2. Sir George Clifford and Sir. R. H. Nolan, members of the recently-appointed facing commission, arrived here on Saturday morning, and inspected the local courses, two in number. They leave again this evening for the south. While hero they received a deputation from the Tolaga Bay Club, which place it was impossible to visit. Probably a deputation from the Wniroa Club will wait on them at Napier to-morrow. The other members of the commission, who are at present in Hotonia, will join. Sir George Clifford and Mr. Nolan at Palmerston North, and then the commission will inspect Horowhemia, leaving for the Nelson courses afterwards, and then proceeding to the West Coast. They expect to return to Christchureli about Tuesday next.
