SHORTAGE OF FEMALE LABOUR
"A LOT OF RUBBISH." By TelegrapH-Press Association-Oopyrieht Sydney, April 1. The Labour Council is appointing ' a committee to inquire into the whole question of female labour. The secretary declared that he thought much of the talk about an acute shortage of girl labour was a lot of rubbish. The wages and conditions of factories were not such as to entice girls to work there. Other prominent unionists expressed similar views.
