LOSS OF THE YONGALA.
SHIP'S RAFT DRIFTS ASHORE. By Telegraph—Press AEsociation-Oopyrieht (Bee. April 2, 5.5 p.m.) Brisbane, April 2. ■A ship's raft with water and whisky aboard and a quantity of other wreckage has drifted ashore at Cape Upstart, about fifty miles south-east of Capo Bowling, Green, where the first wreckage from the Yongala was washed up. A POSSIBLE CLUE. Brisbane, April 1. The steamer Queensland reports that eho discovered a large recently-inade break in the Nares Hock. It is suggested that this is the place where the steamer Yongala struck, though there is no sign of wreckage there. STORMS DELAY THE SEARCH. (Rec. April 3, 0.15 a.m.) •' '■■■■■ Brisbane, April 2. The continuance of cyclonic weather and heavy seas is interfering with the search for the remains of the Yongala, and is'delaying the return of the search steamers. The chance of finding survivors is now considered hopeless.
