It was decided to invite Mr. J. 1 Ball and Mr. Maeaskill to stand, as a ■ "ticket." On the motion of Mr. \U'U- > lev it was resolved that all present should 3 form themselves into a committee to work on the Alicelown side of tho river. Mr. Pcterkin is to be chairman of the com--1 mitteo and Mr. Webley secretary. " The funeral of the late Mrs. Emily : Auguste Mothes, which took place at Pef tone yesterday, was very largely attendf cd. A very largo number of floral tributes we're sent by friends.
