The British South Africa Comnanj has decided upon tlio dispatch of a suecial Commission to investigate sleeping"sickness in Rhodesia. The Commission will consist of Dr. Aylmcr Hay, principal medical officer, Northern Rhodesia; Div A. Kinghorn, of the Liverpool stllbol'-' of . Tropical-Medicine;-.Dr. Loach, of (ho-;. Northern Rhodesia Medical Service; Mr. 0. Silverlock, entomologist; and Mr. Jollyman, bacteriologist. All tho Commissioners, with tho exception of Dr. May and Dr. Kingharn, aro already in Africa. An expedition sent out by tho Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine is already on its way to tho Congo under Professor Todd, well known in connection with sleeping sickness research, and two assistants, and it is proposed that a further Commissioner shall go from this I country to conduct a separate investigaI tion in another part of tho Congo.
