This B committee is therefore desirous of obj taiuing, as early as possible, tho informaj tion required to enable it to make the ~ necessary arrangements, and with that J. view approach you to ask if you will 3 kindly lend for the purpose of exhibi--0 tion any picture or other works of art „ in your possession. This committee will ? undertake that due care is exercised, and '' will insure against fire, besides defraying expenses in connection with tho carriage of all exhibits. Wo appeal to you for j help, feeling assured that tho generosity " of those contributing by the loan of pic- ." tures, etc., will be very highly appre- ';■ ciated. If you will consent 'to place l" at our disposal any works of painting, j sculpture, art craft, or art curios generi ally, we shall be obliged if you will kiml- £ ly inform us, for which purpose a form 1 o'f reply is enclosed herewith, and on ' receipt of which we will communicate with you further."
