GAS LEAK AND A LIGHT. An escape of pas from a dcfcetivo pipo in a house occupied by Mrs. Klizabeth •lames, Hill Thormlon Quay, led to the Kin; brigade being callcd out at O.'fS yesterday morning. One of tho inmates of tho house was looking for tho leak with a lighted candle when tho escaping gas took tire. Tho presence of mind of another of the occupant'; of the honso in turning the gas oiT at the meter saved serious trouble.
