The champion sprinter, Arthur Postlc, made his apcparance at the St. Patrick's sports gathering at Hobart on March 18, and did 50 yards in 5 l-ssoc on a grass track. Ho also covered 100 yards (paced by a cyclist) in lOsec. If the time was correctly taken, Postle's 50 yards in 5 l-ssec. tics the world's (his own) record.
