OFFER OF £8000 DECLINED. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) Christchurch, March 25. The Mayor has received a letter from the secretary of the Canterbury Cricket Association stating that the Board of Control of Lancaster Park cannot see their way to accent the council's offer of .£BOOO for the purchase.of the park us a public reserve. The price which the board asked was ,£IO,OOO.
