ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
PERISHED IN THE FLAMES. A BENZINE EXPLOSION. (By TclonrapU—Press Association.) Invercarglll, March 24. Through an explosion of benzine, the residence of D. Blackburn, Waikawa, was destroyed by flro last night. Mrs. Blackburn, who was in delicate health, and a young son perished in the flames. FATAL RESULT OF A FIRE. Dunsdin, March '24. Mrs. George Mathcson, a resident of Hampden, died from injuries sustained by a firo at her husband's premises yesterday. DEATH FROM HEART FAILURE. Dr. A. M'Arthur, Cty Coroner, held an inquest vestcrday concerning tho death of Mrs. Mary Lane, aged 75, who was round dead in bed on Thursday morning at the residence of Mr. Walter Evensoii, 10 l'iric Street. Tho evidence adduced at the inquest showed that for romo time past deceased had suffered from heart trouble. A verdict of "death from heart failure" was return- _________
