Sir Edward Tennant (recently raised to tho Peerage), at a Canadian Club banquet at Vancouver, spoko of the prospects of tho enforcement ~ of tho Monroo Doctrine by tho United States. He declared that Oriental immigration would lead to trouble in tho Pacific in a fow years, and for that reason he warned Canada to widen her political outlook and strengthen herself for tho great part she was certain to play in tho Empire's future.
