Auckland, March 24. •Thd floating crane with which the port of Auckland' will shortly be supplied, is described as the best- of its kiud-in existence. It' is 'guaranteed to lift 80 tons .dead .weight,, and will bo testedup to a'-capacity of 100 tons. Tho crane and jib wifl bo'erected on a'steol pontoon which will be propelled by twin screws. The vessel will bo able to go • alongside steamers moored at tho wharf • and tako out a, heavy lift without interfering with other unloading operations.
