* - TO-DAY'S MATCHES AT TRENTHAM. Teams matches will predominate at Trcntham Riflo Range- this afternoon. The Karori Rifle Club has three engagements on its hands; two of its teams will compete with the Petone Rifle Club's teams, and a third will try conclusions with the College Rifles. In addition to these fixtures is the annual Battalion Shield match, for which there are. 16 entries from tho various company units of the Wellington Riflo Battalion. Targets liave been allotted as follow: — Collins Range, 200, 500, and 600 yards—Battalion teams match. Sommerville Range, 200, 500, 600 yards—Dominion Scouts, 1-2; No. 3 G.A.V., 3-4; D Batterv, 5-0; Karori K.C., 18 to 25. Seddon Range—Petono Navals, 1-3. GARRISON SIGNALLERS. Tho following teams have been selected to compete for the Morse and Semaphore challenge cups, at tho Garrison Hall, Buckle Street, this afternoon : No. 4 Company, New Zealand Engineers—Corporal Keeble, . GTJNNER CROXTON WINS THE BELT. Last Saturday afternoon's rifle match by the Wellington Navals concluded the company's championship competition for tho 1910-11 season. Oil account of the departure of C.P.O. Martin for England the two matches required to complete the series were got off on the same afternoon, Match No. 9 being at 500 .and 600 yards, and Match No. 10 at 700 yards. PONGAROA RIFLE CLUB. This week the attendance at the rango of the l'ongaroa Riflo Club was small, and the eight riflemen who shot experienced a very cloppy wind at tho 500 and 600 yards ranges. The wind varied from two to six. Tho Rev. Mr. Rattray, who had previously secured two "lee's in" for the club cup, again topped the scoro with 8" off the riflo, and secured tho cup outright.
