British trade is still improving, according tn the Board of Trade return issued on February 7, atid the figures for January are distinctly better than those of January, 1010, which was the record year. The chief figures are: January Imports Increase over 1310 (5,785,037 Increase over 1900 9,194,407 January Exports '.£37,730,831 Increase over 1910 2,927,716 Increase over 1909 8,927,785 The activity in the cotton trade is shown by an increase of .£6,865,393 in the value of raw cotton imported.
