Ilallam, who has been on the clerical staff sinco the inception ot the company, is leaving next month on a visit to the Old Country. St. Patrick has a very large number of devotees in this district, so that it almost goes without saying that the annual entertainment given bv members of tlio Roman Catholic Church last Friday evening was in every way' successful. . Mrs. Dalton, Mr. Twohill (AA'ellington), Mrs. Bythe (Levin), Mrs. Hall (Moutoa), Master M'Leavy, Miss Nunnford (Oroua Bridge), and other visitors assisted tha local performers. Messrs. J. Curran and E. J. King were M.C.'s for the daneo that followed. Mrs. Dalton was tlio pianist.
