ACCOUNTANT STUDENTS.

Ten-minute papers occupied the attention of members of the Wellington Accountant Students' Society, who attended to the number of -10 at a meeting held in the Chamber of Commerce last night. Mr. B. Hutson presided.

Papers were read by Messrs. H. Bicknell ("Tabular Ledger"), W. Copeland ("First Audit of a Company's Account"), W. C. Harrington ("Balancc-Sheots"), C. B. Mazongarb ("Cheques"), H. Matthews ("Al at Lloyd's"), and 11. D. Edwards ("Card Ledgers"). Useful discussions followed each of the papers.

Somo lfl new members were elected last night. It was decided to includo in the minutes the names of all members who had passed tho New Zealand Society's accountant examinations. Eighteen members passed the intermediate examination, and 20 the final, including the first and •third for New Zealand,
