A SHIPOWNER'S FORTUNE.
« BEQUESTS TO EMPLOYEES. By Telegraph—Press Association-Copyrislit (Rec. March 23, 0.5 a.m.) Melbourne, March 22. The estate of tho lato Sir Malcolm M'Eacharn has been valued for probate at ,£200,500. Of this amount'.£lso,ooo is in Victoria, and has-been left to tho family, while the Scottish estate has been settled on the widow. Sir Malcolm M'Eacharn bequeathed to each clerk in tho employ of Messrs. M'llwraith, M'Eacharn, and Company, who at the time of his death was receiving a salary of less than ,£3OO por annum, a legacy of 10 per cent on thatamount. Those receiving ,£3OO, and under ,£SOO were given a legacy of 5 per cent.
