FIRE AT APIA.
$ .. HOTEL AND STORE BURNED. (By Telcgraph.-Press Association.) Auckland, March 22. News was brought from Apia, Samoa, by the At.ua to-day that the International Hotel (proprietor, Mr. Easthope) had been burnt to tho ground; also Mrs. Dextor's store. The latter had no insurance whatever, but tho furniture of Ihe hotel was covered by a policv of ,£3OO. mm 8 firo ,woko °«t >n a sitting-room. J.lie Will Terry Picture Company, which recently suffered heavy loss in a wreck in tho Fiji Islands, alter getting a fresh, start again with a new plant, had another run of ill-fortune, losing everything, including about ,£2OO worth of iiims. Mr. Kershaw Garrett was terribly burnt about the hands, face, and head, and was taken to tho hospital, where he will romain for some time.
