4 UNION S.S. CO. AND HARBOUR BOARD. "An agreement lias (snid the chairman of the Harbour Board last evening) been drawn up, signed, and sealed, as between tlio Patent Slip Company and the board, providing that this property at the expiry of 25 years as from 1908 comes into possession of the board on the payment of a sum of «£3Q,000. The board may require the company after four years' occupation, that is, from 1908, to build and equip a slip for smaller vessels. This particular clause should not be lost sight of, and the company should be called upon to give effect to it next year. "The Union Steam Ship Company is erecting a laundry, and workshops arc contemplated in the immediate future, as well ns a wharf some 200 ft. long and 30it, wide."
