0 ■ ■ COLUMBIA CLUB. The second annual general meeting nf! the Columbia Lacrosse Club will be held this evening. The report shows that although the club was composed mainly of young players, five matches out of nine were, won, while the C'oliimbins inflicted the tole defeat suffered by the season's champions (Ivclburno). : Three members— Messrs. L. .C. I'ama, J. I'. O'Leary, and li. .J. Grant—secured places in the Wellington representative team which defeated Auckland, while Mr. ,1. L. licydnn was first reserve. The club has a substantial credit ■balance, and tho prospects for the incoming season are very encouraging. The club will hold its second annual meeting this evening at the offices of Messrs. Casey and Jloran, Xo. 205 J.amblon Quay, Intending members are invited to attend the meeting this evening, wh?n a lccturetle on the gnmo will be delivered.
