The town or Hermosillo, in north-west Mexico, is believed to be in danger of a rebel attack, and Federal troops have been dispatched to protect it. General .Madero, the revolutionist leader, has announced that he is ready to consider peace proposals from the Government, but ho demands first the retirement of G«ncral Diaz. The Mexican Minister for Finance has arrived in Mexico from New York. Ho denies that any peace overtures, are likely to be made to the rebels, and utters a warning that the continuance of the insurrection is likely to cause international complications.
