FOOTBALL AND A CEMETERY.
___ PROPOSAL AT A MEETING. Profitable use for tho vacant portion of a cemetery was proposed by Mr. i,. M'Kenzie at the meeting of the 01<i Boys' Football Club last evening. The southern portion of the Karori Cemetery, he remarked, was at present qui ta unoccupied, and it would be a good thing if it could lie earmarked as a footbdj area. Tho ground lay at a convenient distance from tho city. Lower grade ■ matches could be played upon it in its present state, and, in time, it could bo made into good playing grounds. At Mr. M'Kenzie's suggestion the club agreed to urge that the Rugby Union should endeavour to obtain the use of the ground.
