(From Our Special Correspondent.) AREA OF HUTT PARK. A special meeting of the Hutt Park Committee was held last evening. Tliospresent were: Messrs. Baldwin (chairman), Macaskill, Barlow, " 'Southgato, M'Ewan, and Jones. A letter was' received, from Messrs. Findlay, Dalziell and Co., dealing with the Park Committee's title to nine acres of land adjoining tho park, which the? have been holding on lease from Messrs. P. Nathan and Co. In the opinion" of tho solicitors, some seven acres of this land is the property of tho- committee, so that the lessors were only cictitled-tc M ss. yearly rental, instead of ,£25, as has hitherto been paid to them. The committee decided to write, tc Messrs. Nathan'and Reeve, pointing onl than an excessive rental had erroneously been paid to them for three years, anc' asking for a refund. In regard to another piece of land ad joining the park, the chairman statec that the Gracneld Land .Syndicate lu-.i ploughed up one acre, which, though out side the present fence, belonged to tin park. It was decided to offer a lease o! this section to the Gracefield Land Syndi cats at a yearly rental of £o. The readjustments mentioned have flu effect of adding 8 acres to tho area of tin park, bringing its total area up to 10; acres, - . ' COURT SITTINGS. Mr. A. J.
