Cave, K.C., Unionist member for Iviugston, Surrey, Mr. M'Kenna, First Lord of the Admiralty, said tho Admiralty had offered to' pay the plaintiff in the Archer-Shee v. tho Admiralty case tho costs of the trial 'in July last. The offer had been declined, however, and ,£IO,OOO damages were claimed, which tho Admiralty declined to pay.
Mr. Austen 'Chamberlain,. at' Mr. Balfour's instaiici?,' gave notice 1 for' a' motion that tho llouso be given an opportunity to discuss tho ease.
