DISASTERS AT SEA.
CARGO OF CREOSOTE ALIGHT. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyrieht London, March 17. The steamer North Point (5216 tons gross) bound for Philadelphia with a cargo of creosote was leaving the Thames when she suddenly burst into flames in every part'. The crew, numbering fifty, ' was rescued. The vessel was beached. A SCHOONER WRECKED. Paris, March 17. ; The schooner Marivonnic (158 tons gross) was sunk as the result of a collision with a trawler at St. I'ol-de-Leon, in the Department of Finistere, on the north coast, thirty-one miles north-east of Brest. Twenty-sis persons were drowned.
