• SATISFACTORY FINANCIAL STATEMENT. The Wairarapa and East Coast F. ami A l . Society held a meeting'of the General Committee on Friday. There wero 2o members present. 31 r. W. Howard Booth (president of the society) presided. The secretary reported having' sent particulars Of the • society's .ploughing match to the Feilding branch of the Farmers' Ijnion, who contemplate holding a match in May, and the committee, at tho union's invitation, nominated various judges from the Wairarapa, as compeiont. ■The Ayrshire Cattle Breeders' Association wrote that the council had allocated the association's championships for mil, to tho Wairarapa Society's Show, in October, subject to conditions which the committee accepted. The date'of'the annual meeting, was fixed for May 5. Two new members were elected. Mr. G. W. Deller was ■ appointed as delegate. to the International Conference at Norwich, England. The financial statement was read and compared with that issued at the corresponding period last year, nnd showed a satisfactory position.
