END OF THE CAMP. LIST OF APPOINTSIENTS. The New Zealand war machine is now ready for action; the two months' camp of instruction at Tauherinikau has come to an end. Tents will be struck to-day, and for the remainder of the mouth the officers and lion-commissioned officers who have been strenuously preparing themselves for the very responsible task of putting the new defenco scheme in motion will be granted leave of absence, that they may have an opportunity of arranging their private affairs preparatory to going out to the various districts to which they have now been posted. POSTED FOR DUTY. The officers and non-commissioned officers will report for duty on April 1, in their respective districts, and the statutory proclamation for the registration of those eligible for training under the new sdieme will be issued immediately after. Trask, previously staff officer to the Chief of the General Staff under the old regime; Captain Trask has not enjoyed the best of health since his severe illness of two years ago, and at his own request was recently placed on the Reserve of Officers with his present rank, no is now attached to the Administrative branch of the service. i 1 '
