■ THE TOLAGA BAY ACCIDENT. . ' (By Telegraph.—Press 1 Association.) Gisborne, March 15. Further particulars to hand-of the accident to the Tolaga Bay coach showthat tho passengers had a narrow escape. W. Toomath, who was proceeding to Port Awaniii as relieving teacher, got caught in a wheel, but was freed by a big wave. Ho was severely shaken, but was able to continue his journey yesterday. It appears that about 5 p.m. the man dived oil' the .wharf into what he thought was deep water, but which only proved to bo about 18 inches deep at tho spot. Ho struck the bottom, and received injury to the upper portion of his body. Tho linfortuuato man was! taken to Ui« hospital!in an unconscious condition.
