Hat. championships, 100 yds. and mile swimmjng championships, tennis singles, middle-weight wrestling, and heavyweight boxing. A cheque for £10 10s. towards the fund.has been received from the Wellington Swimming Association, and a cheque for £2 .10s. Gd. from the New Plymouth Tennis Club, per Dr. ' Leatliam. Private advice received from Christchur'ch states that an effort is being made there to raiso sufficient funds to send Opie to the big sports meeting.
