;By TclcErapu.-Speclal OorrcGronflen*.) Opotlkl, March 14. Tho No-License campaign opened at Opotiki on Saturday with an open-air demonstration, when the Revs. F. A. Bennett, of Kotoru.i, and J. Dawson, secretary of the New Zealand Alliance, addressed a largo and attentive gathering. Public meetings were held in the public hall on Sunday and Monday oveningA, and were largely attended, all the Protestant denominations being represented. At the mooting last night, Messrs. Bennett and Dawson were the speakers; There wore no hostile demonstrations, and" the remarks of tho speakers were ■'frequently applauded. Moetings of workers and sympathisers were held this afternoon and evening.
