As tho result of the boring operations that have been conducted on Mr. G. M'Kay's property, AVangnelm (W'airarapa), a splendid flow of water has been discovered at a depth of a little over threo hundred feet. Tho water roso to within thirty foot of the surface, and a pump was put on for an hour in order to test it. The test proved entirely satisfactory, as the water remained at exactly the'samo level after 200 gallons had been taken out. The location was mado by Mr. Clarke, of Auckland, tho water-diviner.
The banks throughout New Zealand will be closed on Friday next, St. Patrick's Day.
