THE LATE MR. ASHBOLT.
.. A TRIBUTE. Tho loss sustained by the Cricket Association and cricketer? in general by tho death of Mr. A. Ashbolt was referred to at yesterday evening's meeting of the Wellington Cricket Association, when it was decided to place on record tho deep appreciation of, the services rendered to cricket by Mr.'Ashbolt, and forward a letter to 'his family to tho above effect.
"I do not think there is any man in Wellington who has had such a long and honourable record of service,-to tho sport so freely given," said Mr.M. F. Luckic. ' Mr.'Ashbolt, ho added, bad taken an unfailing and disinterested interest in all nffnirs connected with tho association, and a keener and mora enthusiastic supporter of cricket in Wellington it would be difficult to find.
