A REPORT FROM SMITHFIELD. Tho Aberdeen-Angus heifer Clasp 11, the champion- at the last' Smithfield show, London, put up almost a record at tho block. The'following are the particulars: —Live weight,...J.'lcwt. I'qrJ 24'1b.; weight of dressed carcass,. 12131b.; block test, dead to live weight, 74.8 per cent.; weight of hide, 531b.'; caul fat, 79J1b.; liver, 12j1b.; spleen, l^lb.; tongue and root, lljlb.; head, 3-Hlb.;; heart, 631b.; four feet. 17}lb.'; Mr. Credlan, her owner, received the following report from tho .slaughterers, who kill several thousand beasts an-nually:—"Tho'c-'vcass is of exceptional quality, and carries the most meat for the size of'bone of any animal that has ever passed through -our hands," Clasp II was 2 years 11 months old. The record block test for Smithfield is 76iJ per cent, dead to livo weight, put up by the Aberdeen-Angus heifer Luxury in 1885.
