COMPULSORY TRAINING.
METHODIST CONFERENCE DEBATE. By Telegraph—Press Association-CoDyrißtat Melbourne, March 11. The Methodist Conference to-day discussed the. question of compulsory military training. The Rev. Mr. Madsen moved in favour of the insertion of a conscience clause, to provide for exemption. Ho argued that compulsory training contemplated killing. Other speakers said that until tho nations had a peace agreement it would be needful to train for their own protection. Tho Conforenco declined to express an opinion on tho subject.
