Dalgcty and Company, Limited, report as follows:—Wo held our fortnightly saio of wool, skins, hides and tallow yesterday afternoon, when v.c ottered a largo catalogue' of all classes to a representative attendance of buyers. Competition was keen throughout tue sale, which we quote as follows:—Wool: Mostly odd lots wero oilcred, which sold well at late rates. Crossbred, 6id. to 7*d.; lambs, 7id. to SJd.; pieces, Aid.; locks, 3ia. to 3jd.; dead, i;d. to 6}d.; black, 5Sd.; mixed, 6|d. Skins: firm at late rates, i'ino crossbred, Yd.; crossbred medium and coarse, 53d. to 6Jd.; crossbred shorts, 4}d. to 6id.; mixed, Jid.; pelts,. 43d.; merino, 51d.; lambs, 43d. to 63d.; quarter-wools, salted, 2s. sd. to 3s. 3d.; crossbred, salted, 3s. 9d.; lambs, salted, Is. 5d.; iambs, damp, 2s. 6d. to 3s. 5d.; merino, salted, 2s. 6d. Hides; Ox hides showed a decline of id., and all other hides were slightly easier. ITessrs. Abraham arid Williams, Ltd., report on their sale, held yesterday, as follows:—Wo offered a good catalogue of all clnc-ses of produco, for which there was good competition at late rate?. Wo quote: —Wool: Fino crossbred, Bjd.; medium crossbred, 7Jd. to Ed.; lambs, 7fd. to 73d.; dead, 53d, to 6}d.; pieces, 43d, to 51d.; locks, 3id. to 4d. Skins: Fine crossbred, 7Jd.; medium, 7d.; coarse, 6Sd. to 61d.; lambs, 61(1. to 61d.; dead, sjd. to 53d.; half-wools, sd. to 6Jd.; shorts and inferior, 2d. to 3jd.; pelts, 3d. to 4(1,; butchors' pelts, 2s. 6d., 3s. id., to 3s. Tho New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Lti., report: 'l'ho fortnightly sales wero resumed yesterday, liuycrs assembled in strong force; and competed well for tho largo catalogues offered. Tho wool catalogued was mostly bf low quality, and was in good demand at prices about equal to last week's rates. There was. a good clearanco of 6kins, hides, and'tallow, at lato rates. We quote: —Wool: Crossbred inferior and seedy, 6d. to 6Jd. per lb.; crossored medium, 7jd. to 7ld. per lb.; piccc3 and bellies, 3ld. to 4}d. per lb.; locks, 3Jd. per lb.; dead wool in bags, 61d. to 7d. per lb.; crutchings, 3Jd. to 55d. per lb.; lambs, medium, 7Jd. to 73d. per lb.; lambs, 6eedy, 3d. to 7d. per lb. Levin and Company, Limited, report;—We held our fortnightly sale yesterday, when wb ottered a small quantity of wool, and a large catalogue containing 2i'oo sheepskins,. !>25 hides and calfskins, and a Quantity of tallow and horsehair. Wool: Strong competition at' last sale prices. Wo '(juotc:—Medium crossbred, Bd., to Bjd.; coarse, 7id, to Bd.; pieces audi bel-' lies, sd. to 6id.; locks, 2d. to .4d. Skins: Only inferior dry skins offering, owing to late period of the season. Butchers' and freezers' skins composed a large portion of our offering, and theso met with a good sale. We quote:—llalfbreds, 7id. to Y|d.; fino crossbrcds, 7id. to 7id.; medium crossbrods, 6d. to 63d.; coarse crossbrcds, 6d. to 63d.; dead skins, 5Jd. to 53d.; dead hoggets, 43d. to 5d.; quarter to half woob, 3Jd. to 5d.; dry pelts. Murray, Koberts, and Co,, Ltd., report:—Wo catalogued 40 bales of wool, 2900 sheepskins, 850 hidc3, and a few basks of tallow.- Buyers were well represented, and bidding fairly animated at about tlio level of last sale. Wool lots mostlv consisted, of parcels received since the Jlarch 3 sale, and were of rough and reedy character. Tery. few lots of woolly crossbred skins were catalogued, and those shown were of indifferent duality, most of the dry skins being pelts, short wools, and lambs.
