Mr. Churchill. Sir Edward Henry, Commissioner of Metropolitan Police; Major Wodehouse, Assistant Commissioner; Superintendent Froest, Superintendent Wells, Major Parsons, and others attended at the headquarters of tho Twentyfourth Battalion London Territorial Regiment, when about thirty makes of revolvers woro examined with a view to selecting a suitable .weapon for the police. Most of tho shooting tests were made by Mr. Churchill, who proved an excellent shot. lie showel special interest in tho working of the Mauser pistol, a weapon similar to that used with such deadly effect by the Iloundsditch assailants. The experiments arc to be continued until a revolver of Iho most up-to-date and efficient character is selected.
