The Duke do Vizcu, the eldest son of Dnm Miguel of Braganza, the claimant to the Portuguese Throne, has taken the practical step of acquainting himself at first hand with the mazes and intricneics of city finance. For the past few months the duke has been going to the city regularly every day, and has visited many of the chief banks, where he has been able to obtain an insiglit into the inner working of these great institutions. Latterly his Highness lias been devoting his attention to the working of the Stock Exchange, and for this purpose has taken his . plaec in the offices of ono of the largest firms of stockbrokers in tho city. On.,six days a week he attends the office about ten o'clock, and does not leave until nearly five. Naturally tho duke's presence at the different officcs is known only to tho principals.
