FOOTBALL.
WELLINGTON CLUB'S REPORT. Tho forty-first annual report of tho Wellington Football Club will be presented to members at the annual meeting to-night. In presenting it, the management state that tho finances of the ciub are in a satisfactory condition, the balance at the bank amounting to ,£2l Is. 4d. This is largely duo to the fact that a training gymnasium was secured on much better terms last year than during the past few seasons. The roll of membership now stands at 154; b2 active, 35 honorary, 27 life, 10 retired. In championship matches the "first fifteen performed much better last year than in 1909, winning the last live matches. Its record is as follows:—Matches played, 12; won, 5; lost, 7; points for, 43; points agains!, 134; championship points, 10. Tho junior fifteen, unlike tho_ seniors, commenced the season by winning their first few matches, but did not play, with the same success in the concluding stages of the year. This team was, however,, again the most successful of tho club's fifteens. Matches played, 11; won, G; lost, 5; points for, 74; against, 56; championship points, 12. Tho personnel of the third fifteen-team was subject to many changes, and consequently it did not meet with, quite the samo measure of success as in the previous season. The Levin Shield competition was not held last season, as no convenient date could be found, but this season it is suggested that Saturday, April 1, be set aside for it The club was represented in big football by Messrs G. F. M'Kellar (New Zealand team), and J. Munro (Wellington rep esentative). Mr. W. J. O'Meani obtaincd a place in the junior ropresontali The € thanks of the club: are extended to Messrs T. S. Ronaldson (president A 1. jhte N. Galbrailh, and 0. G. Kember Mcc-presidcnts) for donations, and to Mr. GH- M« rr!> v for presenting a trophy.
