All Ministers, with the exception of the Hon. K. M'Kenzie, and the Hon T. Mackenzie, will be in town to-day. The Rev. T. 11. Sprolt, Bishop-elect of Wellington, left by yesterday's Main Trunk- express for Rotorua, where he joins Mrs. Sprolt. Tho Very Rev. Father P. N. Lynch, of the Redemptorist Order, has been appointed Superior in the Philippine Islands. Father Lynch is well known in Wellington. Mr. A. Le Scenf, of Sydney, is to be invited by tho City Council to visit Wellington at an early date, and report on the Wellington Zoo. Mr. Thomas M. .1. Bedding and Mr. P. 11. Wise, of Eketaliuna, have been gazetted public auditors under the Friendly Societies Act. Mr. D. Berry, J.r., has been appointed a trustee of the New Plymouth Savings Bank. Mr. J. L. Palothorpe (Wellington) has been appointed a deputy-registrar of marriages, births, and deaths in Wellington. Mr. E. G. B. Kenny has been appointed an apiary instructor and inspector. Mr. T. P. Burke lias been appointed an inspector under the Slaughtering and Inspection Act, 1308. Mr. G. H. Jnrrett has been appointed a special inspector under the terms of tho" same Act at Messrs. Dimock and Co.'s slaughterhouse. Mr. John Prouse, of Wellington, will sing at Madame Antonia Dolores's concerts, to be given in Wellington on March 20, 21, and 23. Armit, for tho last two years connected with the literary staff of tho "Evening Post," left on a trip to England by tho Tonrariro yesterday. Mr. W. F. Hambly, assistant instructor at the C'hri.stchui'ch Technical School, who has attended the Sydney Technical School and passed well there, has been appointed instructor in wool-classing at the Feilding Technical School and district, vice Mr. Cahill, resigned. There were ten candidates. There was a very large and representative gathering from for'and near at Mr. G. C. Wheeler's funeral at Stauway yesterday afternoon (writes our Feilding correspondent). The service was' conby the Rev. Innos Jones. There were about 20 motor-cars in the cortege, and other vehicles and horsemen innumerable. Among those present were six past presidents of the llanawatu A. aim P. Association, Messrs. W. C. Buchantn, M.P. (Wairarapa), Mr. D. H. Guthrie. M.P. (Oroua), Mr. .1. G. Wilson (national president of the Farmers'' Union and chairman of the Manawatu County Council), Mr. Hockly (chairman of the Kiwitea County Council), Mr. W. G. Pearce (act-ing-chairman), and other members of the Oroua County Council (of which Mr. Wheeler was chairman), Mr. A. R. Mayo (chairman of the Feilding Farmers' Union), and Mr. W. G. Foster (Wellington Meat Export Co.). The business aiid professional men of Feilding also attended in large numbers.
