TOUEXAMENT AT GISBORNE. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.! Gisbornc, March 7. Tlie annual tournament of the Xew Zealand Polo Association commenced hero to-day on the new ground at Bushmere The weather was beautifully fine, ami there* was a fairly large crowd of spectators.

Mangahcia A ((> Koals) beat Mangatu V (3 goals).
I'oTcrly Bay (9 coals) beat Mangaheia B (2 goals). Hawke's Bay (15 goals) beat Poverty Bay (nil).
Tho tournament will bo continued today, and the finals will bo played on Thursday.
The annual meeting of tho New Zealand I'olo Association was hold' to-nieht Mr. It. A. Unwell (Hawke's Bay) pro' siding. The following office-bearers for tho ensuing year were elected:—j,resident, his Excellency (lie Governor; vicepresident. Sir Win. Tfiisscll; committee Messrs. n. A. Russell, .1. U. Murphy j' I). Hall, If. levin, and J. Srrans; secretary and treasurer, Mr. D. ~G. \ Cooper; lion, auditor, Mr. K. Bucholz' The meeting derided to hold (h<. next tournament at Hastings, also to ask the committee to consider tho position of introducing a "no off-side" rule at tournaments.
